Lake Land College is located in Mattoon, Illinois.  Lake Land was established in 1966 and it serves nearly 5,000 students. This community college offers many different associate degree programs, as well as certificates, that will help students to pursue exciting new career paths. Students can attend this school to earn credits that can be transferred over to a four-year university as well. It offers students a robust educational experience that will help them to thrive. The school sits on a 308-acre campus and has great features such as an onsite library, a childcare lab, and a complete cosmetology clinic.

The nursing program at Lake Land is one of the most important parts of the school. Each year many students sign up for this program to pursue their dream of becoming professional nurses. Lake Land offers both a Practical Nursing program and an Associate Degree Nursing program. There is also an LPN to RN program to help those who are looking to further their career. All of the training that nursing students will undergo is designed to give them the necessary tools to succeed as professionals. Nurses will be fully prepared to use the technical skills that they have learned to care for patients and will do great in any environment.
