Greater Lowell Technical School
Greater Lowell Technical School (GLTHS) is located in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts. The technical school was established in 1967. It is a high school that also offers many educational opportunities for adults who are looking to further their career prospects. It offers a large number of technical programs for students to choose from. These technical programs are designed to help students to learn important skills that will help them to transition into careers as professionals. This school has become an important part of the community and has been working hard to educate the population in various fields ever since its inception.
GLTHS has a nursing program that will help prospective nurses to realize their career goals, too. The school offers a practical nursing program that allows students to work toward earning a licensed practical nurse (LPN) diploma. This 40-week course is designed to teach all of the essential elements that an LPN will need to know. Successful graduates of the program will earn the right to take the NCLEX-PN licensure exam. The program has many classroom sessions and will also feature clinical experiences at various healthcare facilities in the area. This practical nursing program is fully approved by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing and is also accredited by the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education.
