Great Basin College
Great Basin College (GBC) is located in Elko, Nevada. GBC was established back in 1967 and was originally called Elko Community College. It has gone through many name changes and other adjustments over the years. This school has continued to provide students with the best possible academic opportunities for decades. GBC currently serves just under 4,000 students and is a member of the Nevada System of Higher Education. It offers students the opportunity to earn associate degrees and it even has several bachelor degree programs. The school also offers students many different career and technical programs to consider and has earned a reputation as a school that helps students to advance their career prospects.
The GBC nursing program is capable of providing students with the complete nursing education that they need to find success as professionals. This school has a renowned AAS nursing program that is fully approved by the Nevada State Board of Nursing. The nursing programs at the school are also accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). Clinical experiences will take place at local hospitals and other healthcare facilities in the community. GBC also offers a totally online RN to BSN program for those who wish to pursue a bachelor degree while working.
