Florida Atlantic University is in beautiful Boca Raton, Florida. Boca Raton includes many upscale shopping districts and malls, along with the largest indoor mall in Palm Beach County. FAU is a public university with both undergrad and graduate degrees. FAU is also part of the Florida State University system, which includes nine other campuses. The university first opened its doors in 1964 with just 867 students. During the most recent school year, over 30,000 students were enrolled in the university. Currently, the university offers over 170 undergrad programs and graduate degree programs through its 10 colleges, including the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing.

Nursing programs offered through Florida Atlantic University Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing include BSN, RN to BSN, accelerated BSN, MSN, RN to MSN, DNP, Ph.D., and BSN to Ph.D. programs. The traditional BSN program is offered to incoming freshman and is designed to be completed in four years. Students will receive clinical experience through partnerships with several nursing organizations. They also offer an accelerated BSN program for students who have already obtained a degree from an accredited college or university. The MSN program includes seven specialty tracks, including Family Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Leader. These programs are accredited by the CCNE.
