Danville Community College
Danville Community College (DCC) is located in Danville, Virginia. This is a two-year college that is a part of the Virginia Community College System. The roots of this school can be traced all the way back to 1936. It was originally known as Danville Textile School and has evolved significantly to become what it is today. DCC has an 86-acre campus that provides students with everything that they need to have a great academic experience. It provides comprehensive higher education and workforce programs to the community. There are many associate’s degree options as well as certificate programs. Students can also transfer their credits over to many four-year universities.
The nursing program at DCC gives students the ability to pursue two paths. There is a registered nursing associate’s degree path and a licensed practical nursing certificate path. There is also an LPN-to-RN option that is available for students who qualify. Students will be taught all of the best nursing techniques while being given chances to develop their skills. The curriculum involves being taught theory while also being able to practice everything in the state-of-the-art nursing simulation lab.
