Carl Albert State College
Carl Albert State College (CASC) is located in Poteau, Oklahoma. CASC was established back in 1933as Poteau Junior College and then became Poteau Community College after that. It changed to its current name in 1971 to honor former Speaker of the House Carl Albert. There are approximately 3300 students enrolled in the school currently. Students at CASC will be able to enjoy 28 different academic programs with many associate’s degrees and certificates being available. The school provides everyone in the community with access to affordable education that helps students to foster success in their lives.
The CASC nursing program has remained a consistently popular option at this school. This school has an associate’s degree in nursing program that has helped to produce many successful nurses over the years. There will also be LPN-to-RN advanced placement options for those who qualify. Students will be able to hone their craft at CASC in order to find success in their professional careers. Upon graduation, students will be eligible to apply for the NCLEX-RN licensure exam. The CASC nursing program is approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
