Butler County Community College
Butler County Community College (BC3) is located in Butler, Pennsylvania. BC3 was established back in 1965 and it now serves a little under 4000 students. The motto of this school is “the smart place to start”. It has gained a reputation for being an excellent academic option for those who wish to take care of their first few years of college in a cost-effective fashion. Students can earn several certificates and associate’s degrees at BC3. It has been ranked as the number-one community college in Pennsylvania multiple times due to its variety of academic opportunities and affordability. Students can easily transfer their credits from BC3 over to many four-year universities, making it a very good transfer school.
The BC3 nursing program is held in very high regard. This program gives students the opportunity to earn associate’s degrees in nursing. The coursework is designed to be completed in two years and nursing students will learn how to provide individual care as well as how to function as a part of a healthcare team. Students in the BC3 nursing program have traditionally found success on the NCLEX-RN licensure exam at rates slightly above the state and national average. This program has been approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and has also been accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
