Stanly Community College
Stanly Community College (SCC) is located in Albemarle, North Carolina and is a member of the North Carolina Community College System. Stanley Tech was established in 1971. This school's motto is “changing lives” and it seeks to change many lives for the better each year. There are currently more than 10,000 students enrolled in this community college. Students will be able to earn associate’s degrees, certificates, and diplomas at this school. It even has a robust online degree program that many students in the area take advantage of regularly. The school is also completely accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
The SCC nursing program has the distinction of being ranked the eleventh-best nursing program in all of North Carolina. This associate’s degree nursing program gives students the education that they need to become successful members of the medical community. This program has advanced placement possibilities for existing LPNs who are qualified. The nursing program has the full approval of the North Carolina Board of Nursing. It also holds pre-accreditation status with the National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation.
