South Piedmont Community College
South Piedmont Community College (SPCC) is located in Polkton, North Carolina with the second location being located in Monroe, North Carolina. SPCC has been around since 1999 with the merger of Anson Community College and the Union Technical Education Center. Students at SPCC will be able to pursue several credit courses that can lead to associate’s degrees, certificates, or diplomas. There are many other types of programs at this school such as apprenticeship programs, short-term training courses, continuing education classes, and more.
The SPCC nursing program has become a very important part of the school over the years. The school has both a practical nursing program and an associate’s degree in nursing program. It is designed to teach nursing students the proper nursing skills while allowing them to develop in a safe environment. Both the practical nursing and the associate’s degree in nursing program is approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
