Program: RN

I JUST GRADUATED LAGCC AND PASSED NCLEX. THAT TEST WAS PIECE OF CAKE IN COMPARISON WITH LAGCC EXAMS. I HAVE NO RESPECT TO THAT SCHOOL AT ALL !!!!!!!!!!! DIRECTOR OF THE PROGRAM EASILY COULD VERBALLY ABUSE YOU AND IT HAPPENS VERY OFTEN. FIRST TWO SEMESTERS PROFESSORS DIDN’T TEACH US, YOU HAD TO STUDY BY YOURSELF. THE MAIN REASON WHY THEY DON'T TEACH YOU IS TO FAIL HALF OF THE STUDENTS !!!!!! DURING FIRST SEMESTER PROFESSORS ARE PLAYING WITH GRADES. SOME STUDENTS GETS EXTRA POINTS, SOME NOT. THE ATMOSPHERE IS VERY TOXIC THERE AMONG STUDENTS. FOR OUR SECOND FUNDAMENTALS TEST THEY GAVE US A LIST OF DRUGS AND NEVER MENTIONED THAT HALF OF THE EXAM WILL BE BASED ON THAT. THEY NEVER WENT THROUGH THAT LIST. ON THE THIRD TEST THEY USE TIME ON THE TEST TO FAIL STUDENTS. NCLEX HAS REQUIREMENT HOW MANY SYMBOLS ONE QUESTION MAY NOT EXCEED AND SOME QUESTIONS WERE 2-3 TIMES BIGGER THAN THAT REQUIREMENT AT THE SCHOOL EXAMS. I JUST PASSED NCLEX, I READ QUESTIONS SOMETIMES TWICE AND I DIDNT HAVE ANY PROBLEM WITH RUNNING OUT OF TIME. IF YOU ARE TRYING TO SAY SOMETHING ABOUT THAT, YOU HAVE VERY HIGH CHANCES TO BE KICKED FROM THE PROGRAM AND THEY DON'T CARE WHAT YOU ARE SAYING BECAUSE EVERY SEMESTERS STUDENTS COMPLAINING AND IT JUST HAPPENS AGAIN AND AGAIN. MY FRIEND FOLLOWS MY PATH BUT JUST TWO SEMESTERS BEHIND ME AND SHE HAD EXACTLY THE SAME ISSUES WE HAD ON TESTS. LET'S MOVE TO THE SECOND SEMESTER. MEDSURG, NOT AN EASY CLASS BY ITSELF, BUT PROFESSORS INSTEAD OF MAKING IT EASIER, DO THE OPPOSITE. WE HAD PREQUISES  EVERY WEEK. TWO PROFESSOR TOLD DIFFERENTlY WHAT TO STUDY FOR NEXT WEEK, NEVER FOLLOW THE READING LIST. THEY MESSED LIKE 3-4 QUISES LIKE THAT. AS A RESULT, YOU STUDY ONE THING AND HAVE ON THE QUIZ TOTALLY DIFFERENT AND NOBODY CARES THAT YOU FAILED THAT QUIZ  NOT BECAUSE YOU DIDNT STUDY BUT BECAUSE OF THEIR UNPROFESSIONLAISM. ON OUR EXAMS WE HAD QUESTIONS THAT WERE GRAMMATICALLY INCORRECT, WHICH CONFUSED SOME STUDENTS AND,ONCE AGAIN ,NOBODY CARES SINCE STUDENTS WHO PASSED THAT CLASS SEMESTER AGO HAD THE SAME ISSUES. STUDENTS COMPLAINED ABOUT TO DIRECTOR OF THE PROGRAM, BUT SHE DIDNT FIX IT.  IF YOU SURVIVE YOUR TWO FIRST SEMESTERS, YOU ARE GOOD TO GO. MATERNITY AND PSYCH PROFESSORS IS VERY FAIR, PROFESSIONAL, AND RESPECTFUL FOR STUDENTS. I CAN'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THEM. IT WAS HARD BUT VERY FAIR.  LAST SEMESTER IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. TIME MANAGEMENT IS CRUCIAL THERE. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY PROFESSOR DO THAT TO STUDENTS BUT TIME MANAGEMENT IN NURSING SCHOOL AND IN THE  NCLEX TOTALLY DIFFERENT. MY LAST SEMESTER STARTED AT THE BEGINNING OF THE PANDEMIC. I UNDERSTAND THAT NOBODY WAS PREPARED FOR ONLINE EDUCATION BUT IT WAS JUST A MESS. FOR EXAMPLE, PROFESSOR TOLD US THAT OUR ATI TEST WILL BE BASED ON ONLY !!!! ONLY !!! MED SURD ( PART 1 AND 2 ), TEST WILL HAVE ABOUT 60 QUESTIONS. BUT WE GOT TEST WITH 180 QUESTIONS AND BASED ON THE WHOLE PROGRAM NOT ONLY MED SURG BUT ALSO MATERNITY, PSYCH, AND FUNDAMENTALS. HE DIDNT CURVE OUR GRADES. PROFESSOR JUST SAID, I AM SORRY I DIDNT KNOW. HOW COME??? )))  THAT TEST IS 6 PERCENT FROM A TOTAL GRADE. ONE OF THE STUDENTS FAILED WITH 74.3 WHICH IS 0.2 POINTS ONLY. THAT STUDENT COULD EASILY GET 0.2 POINTS ON THAT TEST IF SHE KNEW THAT IT WOULD BE BASED ON EVERYTHING. TO BE HONEST, I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANY OF MY FRIENDS. IT WAS THE MOST DIFFICULT 2 YEARS OF MY LIFE, NOT BECAUSE OF THE AMOUNT OF STUDYING BUT BECAUSE OF THE MESS ON THIS PROGRAM. IT'S HUGE MENTAL CHALLENGE. BEFORE CONSIDERING APPLYING TO THIS PROGRAM TRY TO RESEARCH AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE ABOUT "THIS HELL" AND THINK TWICE IF YOU NEED THIS IN YOUR LIFE.
