Owens Community College
Owens Community College (OCC) is located in Perrysburg, Ohio and has several satellite campuses in the area. OCC was established back in 1965 and currently serves over 10,000 students across all of its campuses. There are more than 100 academic programs available at this school including associate’s degrees, diplomas, and certificates.OCC is well known for its corporate training programs as well. The school also tries to be as convenient as possible for the student population by offering many part-time and online class options. The school even has an athletics department that has many different sports teams for students to take part in.
The OCC nursing program has both a licensed practical nursing (LPN) and registered nursing (RN) department. The school also has an LPN-to-RN program that allows for current LPNs to pursue becoming RNs. The nursing program is designed to prepare all nursing students for their professional lives by providing them with a great base of knowledge through classroom-based courses as well as clinical experiences at local healthcare agencies. This nursing program is approved by the Ohio State Board of Nursing and is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
