Metropolitan Community College Area
Metropolitan Community College Area (MCC or Metro) is located in Omaha, Nebraska. This public community college used to be known as Metropolitan Technical Community College. It has multiple locations throughout the Omaha area and is known as the largest post-secondary institution in Nebraska. MCC is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. It offers students more than 100 one-year and two-year programs. Many of the school's programs are focused on career-oriented courses that will help students to find immediate employment. The school also has several associate degree opportunities that students can pursue.
The MCC nursing program also offers students several options. There is a practical nursing program, as well as an associate degree nursing program. Students can even pursue the certified nursing assistant program at this school. The ADN program is approved by the Nebraska Board of Nursing and it is also fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). The curriculum will involve classroom lectures, clinical experiences, and laboratory time.
