Coffeyville Community College
Coffeyville Community College is located in Coffeyville, Kansas. This community college was established way back in 1923. This institution serves well over 1,500 students. It offers several different associate degree opportunities, as well as many certificate courses. CCC is also famous for having a very good athletics department. The school participates in the National Junior College Athletic Association and is a member of the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference. Many professional football players have passed through this program over the years, giving the school a very well-deserved reputation for having good sports programs.
Nursing at CCC is a very important part of the college. Prospective nurses can expect to receive a very thorough educational experience. This college sets things up with a tiered system that is very easy to understand. The first year of the associate degree in nursing program is the LPN portion of the nursing program. Nurses who wish to go on to become RN's will need to complete the LPN portion first. To move on to the RN portion of the program, students will need to pass the NCLEX-PN licensure exam. This school also offers a paramedic to RN transition opportunity. All of the nursing courses will teach nursing students the best possible skills that will help them to find success as professionals.
