Foundation of the National Student Nurses’ Association Undergraduate Scholarship Program

This nursing scholarship offers awards up to $10,000 to students enrolled in state-approved nursing programs at various levels, including associate, bachelor’s, diploma, direct-entry master’s, LPN to RN, RN to BSN/MSN, and accelerated BSN programs. It supports undergraduate nursing education for students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents and plan to graduate after July 1.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a state-approved nursing program leading to an Associate Degree (ADN), Bachelor Degree (BSN), Diploma, Direct-Entry Master’s, RN-BSN/MSN, LPN/LVN to RN, or Accelerated BSN (12-18 months)
  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Taking at least six credits per semester
  • Not a high school student
  • Planning to graduate after July 1
  • For Career Mobility Scholarships, registered nurses and licensed practical/vocational nurses must submit a copy of their nursing license

Application Process: Submit an online application with unofficial transcripts, faculty certification, and financial aid certification forms by January 9. Applicants transferring schools must include an acceptance letter. Registered nurses in advanced programs must submit their nursing license.

Deadline: January 9 at 11:59 PM EST

Additional Information: Awards are based on academic achievement, financial need, and involvement in nursing organizations and community health activities. Scholarship funds cover tuition, fees, and books for the upcoming academic year and summer term. Funds unused by the end of the award period must be returned. Scholarships are awarded in spring for use in the summer and following academic year.
