Ursuline College is a private college in Pepper Pike, Ohio. It was established in 1871, making it one of the oldest institutions of higher learning for women in the US. It was also the first Catholic women’s college in the state of Ohio. Ursuline College was founded by Ursuline Sisters in Pepper Pike, which is about 10 miles east of Cleveland and about 30 miles northeast of the Akron area. The college now offers 30 undergrad programs and 9 graduate programs. The college started as a women’s college. However, they now admit men and women to the programs. Undergraduate and graduate nursing programs are available. These options include traditional BSN, accelerated BSN, RN to BSN, LPN to BSN, MSN, and DNP programs. All programs are accredited by the CCNE and taught at the Breen School of Nursing, which includes a state-of-the-art simulations center and skills lab that mimics the environment of a real hospital ward. The traditional BSN program is designed to be completed over four years. The school also boasts a 100% job placement rate for graduating nursing students, with many students working full-time in the Cleveland area after graduation.
