The Tulsa Schusterman Center is the Tulsa campus of the University of Oklahoma. It is a public research university that was established in 1972. It was originally a branch of the primary Health Sciences Center campus of the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. The Tulsa campus offers 6 different undergraduate degree programs, along with 14 master’s degree programs. Enrollment typically exceeds 1,600 students, and the campus employs more than 1,000 employees. A new Research and Medical Clinic was opened in 2007, which provides more offices, classrooms, and labs for the health sciences programs offered at the university.
The University of Oklahoma – Schusterman Center College of Nursing offers three BSN paths. These CCNE-accredited programs include traditional BSN, accelerated BSN, and LPN to BSN. The traditional BSN program is designed to be completed in four years, while the accelerated program can be completed in 14 months. The accelerated program is for students who already have a bachelor’s degree in a non-nursing field. Students get to complete their clinical rotations in a variety of clinical settings in the Tulsa area. The university also started offering MSN, DNP, and PhD programs. The MSN program offers nursing students four specialty tracks. These options include Administration Assistant, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Education, and Family Nurse Practitioner.
