Established in 1873, Texas Christian University (TCU) is a private institution in Fort Worth, Texas. The campus is about three to four miles from the downtown area of Fort Worth. Most of the academic buildings and residence halls are within walking distance and half of the students live on campus. The university is structured into eight professional colleges and schools, offering 117 undergraduate majors and 62 master’s programs. The nursing programs are offered through the Harris College of Nursing and Health Sciences. While nearly 25% of students major in business, education, and nursing are also popular choices.

Undergrad and graduate nursing programs are available at TCU. The school offers traditional BSN, accelerated BSN, MSN, RN to MSN, and DNP programs. The programs are accredited by the CCNE. The traditional and accelerated BSN tracks provide students with clinical experiences at various institutions and agencies located around the Dallas-Fort Worth area. They also include access to simulation and practice labs in a high-tech facility. The accelerated program may be completed in 16 months if the prerequisites are met. The master’s program offers four specialty tracks including Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nursing Administration, Nurse Educator, and Clinical Nurse Leader. The university also offers a variety of post-graduate certificates such as Oncology and certificates for the MSN specialty tracks.
