Resurrection University is a private university in Chicago, Illinois founded in 1914. Resurrection University started as a school for nurses and has undergone several name changes before it was purchased by Resurrection Health Care. The campus is in the heart of the historic Wicker Park neighborhood in Chicago and includes a state-of-the-art 37,700 square foot simulation learning center. The university has an open admission policy. Students only require a GED or high school diploma to enroll. The university also has a low student-to-faculty ratio with seven students per faculty member. Besides nursing, there are undergraduate programs for radiography and health informatics and information management.

The nursing programs are all accredited. These programs include a traditional BSN, accelerated BSN, RN to BSN, and two Masters of Science degrees. The master’s programs include a traditional MSN and an RN to MSN program. Resurrection University is one of the only institutions in the Chicago area that offers an evening and weekend program for working students. They also offer a day program that allows students to earn their degrees in just 16 months. The university has partnerships with many local health care facilities, providing students with access to clinical experience with a diverse group of patients.
