Pace University - Pleasantville

Pleasantville, NY 10570

Pace University is a private institution founded in 1906, with three campuses. The Pleasantville campus opened in 1963. The campus was established using donations of land and buildings from the president of General Foods and various Pace University alumnus. The Pleasantville campus includes 180 acres of land, a state-of-the-art environmental center, and two new residence halls. It achieved university status in 1973 and offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degrees, including several nursing degrees. It is structured into several colleges and schools, including the College of Health Professions, which houses the Lienhard School of Nursing.

Pace University offers traditional and accelerated BSN programs. The accelerated program is for those with a bachelor’s degree with a non-nursing major. MSN, MS, and MA nursing programs are also available. All nursing programs offered at Pace University are CCNE-accredited. Students earning their undergraduate degree have a 97.7% pass rate for the NCLEX-RN exam, which is higher than the 84% New York State average and the 87.8%n national average. With the traditional BSN program, students begin taking nursing classes during their first year, instead of waiting until their junior year. This provides students with an advantage when applying for their nursing jobs or internships.
