Unitek College offers certificate and associate degree programs in Vocational Nursing. The 11 month Vocational Nursing Certificate Program covers clinical and theory components to prepare graduates to take the NCLEX-PN licensing exam, and work as a generalist Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). All Unitek College pre-licensure Vocational Nursing students complete clinical rotations at a healthcare facility as a part of their curriculum.
Educational objectives include: collaborating effectively with clients, families, and health care teams to provide holistic care; assisting in the formulation of a problem-solving approach to deliver basic nursing care to clients; and coordinating patient care with other members of a health care team within the standards of practice.
Unitek College's campuses are accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), an accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education.
Unitek College also offers a RN to BSN program which is accredited by Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
