Nursing Programs
The program offers a five semester curriculum culminating in the AAS degree. This program is approval by the Virginia State Board of Nursing. Students who successfully complete the program are eligible to apply to sit for the NCLEX RN. The program offers the necessary foundation for the opportunity to transfer to four year colleges and universities.
Admission Requirements:
- Application and Admission to the college
- High school diploma or GED equivalency certificate
- An overall grade point average of 2.5
- Placement exams in reading, writing and mathematics
- Complete pre-requisite science and math requirements
- Nursing pre admission examination
- TEAS
Applications deadline for admission in the fall semester is the 31st of March at which time completed applications need to have been received by the college.
Applicants accepted into the program are required to provide physical examination including all required immunizations. Students are also required to possess current CPR certification to be maintained throughout the period of enrollment in the nursing program. All students are required to submit to mandatory drug screening and criminal background check upon admission.
