Program: Blue Ridge Community College RN nursing program

A disappointment of a program. I highly recommend you choose a different nursing program in the area. The culture of this program is one that demeans and bullies it’s students. When attempting to report or address problems that may arise, lies and deceit are what you will get from the staff. The professors are more concerned with ensuring they are liked and appeasing each other that they will continue with the lies subsequently hurting no one but the students. As far as academics I feel the program far from prepared us for the NCLEX exam or to practice in the Nursing profession. The clinical experiences that we were subjected to were far from appropriate learning environments. One clinical instructor in particular seemed as tho she didn’t want to be there. The best and most knowledgeable experience in this nursing program was the mental health unit in which we did a rotation at western state. They have since done away with this program. The things mentioned above are only a few issues encountered in the 2-years I endured this program. And all things have been reported to the board of nursing.

If you are a current or former student of this school, please help out prospective students by sharing your experience with the school. We also welcome faculty members and staff members to leave a review and answer students questions.
